2011 marks the 15th edition of Mínimo Tamaño Grande's Summer Exhibition. 25 artists are currently exhibiting in the illustrious 16th century building "Casa de Cultura", part of Charles III & Felipe II's famous architectural complex - San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

Mínimo Tamaño Grande is the name of a group of sculptors who get together every summer to show their and invited artists' work. The group began in 1997, when approximately 60 local artists around El Escorial, got together to show their work. It has since streamlined to this year's 25 artists. The number varying every year, as artists outside the core group are invited to exhibit.

The show is put together in consensus and coordinated by Diego Canogar and Marta Villamayor (current Mínimo Tamaño Grande President and Vice President). Their only pre-requisite is a collaborative spirit and quality work. No theme, philosophy, material or technique are required, resulting in an exhibition of current trends in contemporary sculpture.

The exhibition is comprised of an outdoor and indoor exhibition. The outdoor will run from the 15th of July till the 16th of August 2011 in the courtyard of the Casa de Cultura and the indoor from the 15th of July for two weeks. After that the exhibition goes to the Casa de Cultura Giralt Laporta, in Valdemorillo for a further three weeks, from the 9th till the 30th of September, 2011
